decent enough show from 81
i think it's a pretty good show myself listening to the kickin 2nd set Bird Song and Jerry is just shredding it and the Stranger preceding it was pretty smokin too seems like most shows of 81 were a bit on the shorter side but theres some good ones this one included like the saying goes what one person considers junk another thinks its a treasure or theres ya can't please everyone so ya gotta please yourself noit quite a 5 playing wise good sound i'll give it a solid 4

What About The Fireworks?
I just found out these old shows are on the web, I guess I'm kind of slow. I was there after a blistering afternoon on lake Austin involving running out of 2-cycle oil, borrowing a can of Penzoil to use in it's place, then rescuing battered and bloody people who crashed their boat into a dock. The concert was great, and the fireworks were the best I ever saw except in Washington DC. We were so close the embers and ashes were falling on top of us. It was a blast. As for "T for Texas" I think he didn't want to say "Leaving Texas", because NOBODY there wanted to leave Texas.

So many much better shows?? That goes without saying out of the thousands played and archived. What other band was doing this in 1981 or ever before or after? So, it is original and is what it is---and it is all here at your fingertips decades later. Phone that in. There was no blueprint, man! China>Rider would have been worth the whole day, in and of itself.

bad show for the most part
The first set has some moments, but, honestly the rest is just not that good. Some moments of hope but in the end, it's phoned in. I'm sure that it was fun being there, but there are so many much better shows.

Great party
Yea ok bobby blew some lyrics... I guess Jerry never blew any... It was hot, the boys were up, and they rolled in 17 lone star trucks and about the same number of coors trucks. I'm pretty sure we sent em home empty. It was an amazing party on the infield of manor downs that night. When we left the show there were millions of bottle rockets going every where. Ducking and running for the car... Very strange after all the things we did that night lol. One of the best shows I got to, and mebe the best party i was ever at. One more fourth of July~!

yummy!
great show! good energy, fun solos - Jerry's really on! PITB, Bird Song, NFA, and even OMSN (because of the "One more fourth of july" lyrics) are definitely worth the listen. Have fun with this great Charlie Miller SBD.
Oh yeah, as far as the Bobby screwing up the lyrics thing is concerned, come on, when did the boys ever have a perfect night with the lyrics? give 'em a break.
5 stars...not a knockout performance but definitely solid through and through

"T for Texas, Forth Day of July", what a dork.
They are in Texas, 4th of July, he should have nailed that one.
Good sound. Happy Birthday USA.

You gotta love Bobby. His big chance to sing "leavin' Texas, 4th day of July" and he gets too excited and BLOWS IT!! What a ham.
